    Who is the trip aimed at, and what are the approximate costs?

    Who the trip is aimed at: Anyone from Years 7 - 12

    What are the aims and outcomes of the trip?

    For students to enjoy a sporting winter trip.

    What is the itinerary usually like?

    Day 1: Friday - Day of travel

    Students will come to school at the normal time. They will drop their bags and other belongings into the Gym.  There will be members of staff to meet students. Students will then go to period one (mentor time) at 08:40.  They will then go to period 2 as usual, before coming back down to the gym at 10:00.

    • We will leave school at approximately 10:40 by coach.
    • Our ski crossing will be at around 16:00.
    • We will depart from Calais at around 19:00.

    Day 2: Saturday

    • We will arrive at the resort the next day at 13:25.

    Days 3 - 7

    • Breakfast
    • Morning ski – 2 hours
    • Lunch
    • Afternoon ski – 2 hours
    • Dinner
    • Evening activities

    Day 8: Friday

    • Breakfast
    • Morning ski – 2 hours
    • Lunch
    • Afternoon ski – 2 hours

    • Depart the hotel at 22.:30 (overnight travel)

    DAy 9: Saturday

    • Ferry crossing from Calais at 18:00
    • Arrive back at school at approximately 22:00

    Vocabulary list

    At the Austrian resort most people speak German. Below are the key German words we would like all students to learn before they go. The Italian border is 50 metres from the hotel door – students will ski into Italy, on some of the ski runs – but German is the most spoken language in the area.
