Library: Justin Richards
We were recently pleased to welcome local author, Justin Richards, to the library.
Justin has written dozens of science fiction novels as well as being an audio and television script writer and a contributor to many magazines. He is currently the Creative Consultant to the BBC books range of Doctor Who novels, much to the delight of our Yr7 and Yr8 techies!
He exchanged ideas with our students about the process of writing, fascinated them with his tales of living in a haunted house as a child and convinced them there is a ghost of a cat called Henry in the library who always sat in the same seat 25 years ago. This, despite the fact that the library building is only 6 years old!
Students were eager to ask questions and interested to find out about his latest exciting book "Parliament of Blood" which is set in the 1880s and is about two young people, streetwise Eddie and aspiring actress Liz, who become involved in the hunt for dangerous vampires. To find out more you will need to read it yourself...
There were queues of eager students afterwards to buy books and ask Justin to sign them.
Thanks for the visit Justin and good luck with your next book!
