Finham staff give their views, with CPD in full swing
Finham Park School have given their anonymous views this week about the school and what it's like to work there. With 94% saying they enjoy a 'high level of support from [their] line manager', 98% saying 'the school is well led' and 87% saying they 'enjoy coming to work', it seems right that the career pathways open to them this year are published this weekend. All bits of feedback are being discussed and acted on to make sure that the school is delivering the highest quality education to all its stakeholders.
Of the CPD program, the school says:
'Professional Development – we value our staff and support you to progress at whatever stage of your career you may be.
As the lead school of The Lion Alliance (www.thelionalliance.co.uk), Finham has easy access to multiple avenues of staff development. Working in collaboration with Warwick University we support initial teacher trainees and their mentors, ensuring experienced staff have the time and space to fully engage with the ITE West Midlands Partnerships Mentor Development Programme. We then ensure continuance of that support into the Early Career Years, facilitating for the ECF UCL Programme in collaboration with the Coventry and Warwickshire Teaching School Hub.
But our support and development doesn’t stop there. Once our teachers are qualified, we guide them towards the pathway best suited to their aspirations and interests. This might be a place on one of our Lion Leadership Courses (Aspiring, Middle or Senior); a National Professional Qualification; working towards Chartered Teacher Status; or becoming a facilitator yourself. We also enjoy providing lower stakes platforms for staff to lead training whether at our annual TeachMeet events; MAT training days; or as part of our in-school CPD offer.
We value the individual and enjoy seeing our teachers grow into the best teacher they can be.'
